Batter up! The MLB Draft League’s biggest game is scheduled for July, and it’s happening right here in the Capital City.

On Wednesday, July 5th, baseball fans are invited to attend the MLB Draft League’s inaugural Draft League Prospect Game. The first pitch will be thrown at 6:30pm at the Trenton Thunder Ballpark, located at One Thunder Road, Trenton, NJ, 08611. If you can’t make it to the game, no need to worry! The MLB will also be broadcasting the big game MLB.com, the MLB App and MLB.TV. The MLB’s rising stars will no doubt be shining at the event, so be sure to tune in to see the future of baseball in action.

The game will feature a star-studded lineup of 25 players per roster. The players selected to participate have been hand-selected by the scouting community as well as the MLB Draft staff. The teams will be led by a panel of the Draft League’s 6 incredible managers, who will serve as the Prospect Game’s coaches. “I’m thrilled to host another All Star Game this July and show off our beautiful ballpark,” said Thunder President Jeff Hurley. “This will be a terrific event to our already exciting 30th season here in Trenton.”

The MLB Draft League represents the six founding members, the Frederick Keys, Mahoning Valley Scrappers, State College Spikes, Trenton Thunder, West Virginia Black Bears and Williamsport Crosscutters. Draft League teams bring the fun of baseball to fans all throughout the country, providing spectators with with an unparalleled experience and heart-pounding action. Players on the Draft League teams represent Amateur/Draft-eligible players, as well as professional players who have exhausted their amateur eligibility. The Draft League teams are coached and managed by an impressive lineup of former Major Leaguers and professional players.
