For students across America, the summertime signals the return of summer reading. To help incentivize youth to keep up with the bunch of books they’ve been assigned for the season, schools, libraries, and other organizations have come up with fun-filled perks and prizes for the completion of their reading goals. If you’ve been out of school for some time, however, chances are you haven’t thought about summer reading since the last time you were in a classroom. But who says kids should have all the fun? If you’re a grown-up looking to grow in your literary prowess, the Trenton Free Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading program may be the perfect place for you to start.
The Trenton Free Public Library knows that reading is a valuable skill at any age. To help cultivate a curiosity for literature across generations in the Capital City, the library has developed summer reading initiatives for all ages ands stages of life. If you’re 18 years or older and ready to read, the Trenton Free Public Library’s Adult Summer Reading program is a fun-filled way to keep you accountable and on track with your summer reading goals. Participating patrons have the opportunity to enter raffles for a number of prizes, adding a fun and competitive edge to an already-exciting opportunity.
Participating guests will be granted one entry into a raffle every time they either 1. complete a book or 2. attend a library event. The program will run now through August 22nd. Some of the exciting prizes guests are eligible to win include an air fryer, a Kindle Fire 10, a bluetooth speaker, summer reading tote bags, and even gift cards from local restaurants and businesses.
