Attention all artists!

Submissions are open for the upcoming “A Vision for Trenton Youth” exhibition, a collaboration between Artworks and the Henry J. Austin Health Center. The exhibition will be held on January 13th, 2023, and will remain open the weekend following the event. Proceeds from the art exhibition and silent auction will help to fund free vision screenings and eyeglasses for children in Trenton Public Schools, courtesy of Vision to Learn. All the pieces featured in the exhibit will be from artists in and around the Trenton area.

This effort would not be possible without the services of Vision to Learn, a non-profit that provides vision services to children in underserved communities. Although vision care is critically important, hundreds of children across the country are unable to access the care they need. Per Vision to Learn, 95% of children who need glasses in underserved communities do not have them. Vision to Learn helps to meet that need, aiding children in over 500 communities across the United States. By participating in this exhibit, you will help to provide the gift of sight to a child right here in our community.

If you’re an artist interested in submitting your work for the upcoming exhibit, please fill out the Registration Form no later than December 2nd. All submissions must be dropped off at the Henry J. Austin Health Center or Artworks by January 6th, 2023. Artists can also contact Neha Rauf (neha.rauf@henryjaustin.org) to arrange for pickup. Artists who choose to donate their work for the silent auction will directly benefit Trenton youth. Donations of artwork can also be tax-deductible; further details will be provided upon registration.
