Continuing over a century of Trenton tradition, the Easter Bunny will ride through Trenton on a fire truck beginning at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2025. The procession will pass through each of the City’s wards before ending in Cadwalader Park at 11:15 a.m.  City residents are invited to greet the Bunny as he drives by. The Bunny will then kick off the 104th annual “Great Egg Hunt” in Cadwalader Park at 11:30 a.m., featuring over 5,000 eggs hidden throughout the park.  One “golden egg” in each of three age group categories will earn the finder a new bicycle. The hunt is open free of charge to all Trenton children up to 12 years of age accompanied by an adult. Face painting, a petting zoo, games, music  and a “Best Dressed” contest will also be part of the festivities. All children at the Park will receive a treat from the “Bunny Patrol” (courtesy of Trenton Kiwanis) free of charge.

The Bunny’s travel route through the City will begin at Fire Headquarters on Perry Street at 9:00 a.m. and proceed along MLK Jr. Blvd., Clinton Ave., Hamilton Ave., Broad St., Pennington Ave., Stuyvesant Ave., and Hillvista Blvd., among others, before reaching Cadwalader Park at approximately 11:15 a.m.

The Trenton Department of Recreation Natural Resources & Culture and the Trenton Fire Department join with the Kiwanis Club of Trenton to sponsor The Great Egg Hunt every year for Trenton’s children.
