Movie night has been a beloved tradition in American households for the better part of the last century. Cinema is a moving medium which brings people together, introduces new worlds, and allows our imagination to take flight as we step into the stories that stir our hearts. When the summertime rolls around, there’s few sweeter ways to spend the evening than immersed in a movie with friends and family. If all this talk of movies has you motivated to catch a flick, look no further than Trenton’s Movies Under the Stars for your next cinematic adventure.
Beginning on July 11th and continuing through the month of August, the City of Trenton is pleased to announce the return of Movies Under the Stars. Throughout the season, the City of Trenton will be hosting family-friendly movie nights at parks throughout our community. These events are free to attend and all are welcome to be a part of the fun. Guests will be provided with free popcorn and entertainment, and guests are asked to come with a blanket or other seating arrangement for the evening. All movie showtimes will begin at dusk.
This year’s lineup features an impressive assortment of family favorites, including:
- Guardians of the Galaxy 3: Thu, July 11th at MLK Jr. Park
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Thu, July 18th at Cooper Field
- Wish: Thu, July 25th at Greg Grant Park
- Elemental: Thu, August 1st at the William Trent House Museum
- The Little Mermaid – Live Action: Tue, August 6th at Cadwalader Park (***run in conjunction with 2024’s National Night Out)
- The Marvels: Thu, August 8th at Mill Hill Park
- Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire: Thu, August 15th at Franklin Park
- Kung Fu Panda 4: Thu, August 22nd at Villa Park
- Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken: Thu, August 29th at Edgewood Playground
- Trolls Band Together: Fri, September 6th at Juan Martinez Park
- Under the Boardwalk: Fri, September 13th at the Laurel Ave. Playground
- Blue Beetle: Fri, September 20th at Unity Square Park
- Mummies: Fri, September 27th at George Page Park
This program is presented by the City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture. Through the season, the City of Trenton will be providing its residents with programming, events, and opportunities to stay cool and stay connected all summer long.
