June is here, and that means Pride Month is officially upon us! This monthlong celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community invites us to come together, celebrate diversity, and embrace what makes each of us unique. Whether you take the time to learn more about LGBTQIA+ history or use your platform to speak up for justice and equality, Pride Month is a wonderful opportunity to do your part in making our world a more equitable world for all. Here in the Capital City, we certainly know how to celebrate, and now you are invited to be a part of this year’s Pride Month festivities.
On Saturday, June 22nd, the City of Trenton will be hosting their annual Pride Month Celebration. This family-friendly afternoon of fun invites Trenton residents and visitors to hit the streets and be a part of this celebration of authenticity and community. The festival will take place from 2pm to 7pm in the heart of Downtown Trenton at the corners of South Warren St. and Lafayette St. Support for this program comes from the City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture, as well as the Trenton Pride Center. Here in Trenton, we can’t hide our pride, and can’t wait for you to join in on the fun!
This celebration is offered in part by the City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture. Throughout the year, this department devotes itself to providing residents of Trenton with access to state of the art parks and recreational facilities, as well as community and culturally relevant programming which aid in bringing our city together. From unforgettable holiday festivities to days honoring the rich diversity of cultures present in our community, there is something for everyone to enjoy in our small but mighty city.
