Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and before you know it, it’ll be time to gobble until you wobble! This special time of year offers families the opportunity to slow down, gather together, and enjoy a chance to rest and reflect on what really matters. And of course, what’s Thanksgiving without a delicious turkey as your feast’s centerpiece? Here in the Capital City, we believe that every family deserves the chance to enjoy a fabulous feast on this festive occasion. If you’re preparing for Turkey Day and are on the hunt for the best birds in town, look no further than the City of Trenton’s Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway to secure the makings of a magnificent holiday meal.

On Monday, November 25th, the City of Trenton will be hosting their annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. This program is made possible thanks to the Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture, with additional support provided by Mercer Street Friends, the Trenton Kappa Foundation, and the Kapital City Nupes. The giveaway will kick off at Cadwalader Park, located at 36 Parkside, Trenton, NJ 08618. When arriving to the park, please use the Parkside Avenue entrance and make your way to the blacktop area located directly outside of the Ellarslie Mansion. If you plan on driving, there is plenty of free and accessible parking located throughout the property.

While the City of Trenton will make every effort to assure that as many guests as possible are able to participate, please note that there is a limited supply available. As such, turkeys will be provided to guests on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in participating in this year’s giveaway, please be sure to arrive early to assure your best chance of being able to take home a turkey. The event will begin at 2pm and will continue until supplies have run out.
