The City of Trenton’s Department of Recreation hosted its first-ever “Can’t Get Enough of the 80s” Concert Series on Saturday, September 20th, at Cadwalader Park Blacktop, celebrating a decade full of iconic music and culture.
The free event brought residents together for an evening filled with some of the best hip hop, pop, and R&B hits from the 80s. Attendees showed off their moves, voices and outfits in a best performance contest, karaoke contest, and best dressed competition.
In addition to the music, a wide variety of food and drinks were served including fried fish, jerk chicken cheesesteaks, salmon cheesesteaks, Korean dogs, fried Oreos, tacos, and fresh lemonade.
If you missed the 80s celebration, make sure you mark your calendars for the “Can’t Get Enough of the 90s” Concert Series this Saturday, September 27th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mill Hill Park (East Front Street). Same fun, different decade!
