C.a. Shofed’s Common Threads was established in 2013, to showcase the work of Trenton area artists and artists influenced and inspired by the Trenton art scene. It was forged to empower these artists to build bridges beyond Trenton’s borders and to foster economic development and prosperity.

The exhibit will open on January 24, 2019 and run through February 23, 2019. An opening reception featuring food vendors and various artisans selling their merchandise will be held on January 26th from 11am to 5pm. There will also be a panel on Saturday, February 9th in which the artists will discuss the immigration story of each of these artists and how their physical journeys have influenced their lives, outlooks, and personal art practice.

BSB Gallery has partnered with Artworks Trenton for this very last rendition of Common Threads. Each of the exhibiting artists will also be featured in the ArtLab Gallery of Artworks in tandem with our exhibit at BSB Gallery.
