The Kiwanis Club of Trenton will be hosting a live video cooking class to benefit the Times-Kiwanis Camp Fund on Tuesday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m.

The class will be hosted by Justin Foushee, executive chef of Leonardo’s 2 in Lawrenceville. Chef Foushee graduated from The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College, earning a degree in culinary arts. Since 1997, Foushee has worked at multiple restaurants up and down the East coast, including establishments in Philadelphia, Myrtle Beach and Augusta, Georgia. He gained a wealth of experience working under several James Beard Awardwinning chefs.

He enjoys working at a local family-owned restaurant, especially since he is family — he and owner Robert Pluta are cousins! Foushee brings an urban flair to a small-town restaurant. He will be sharing his recipes for a Panzanella Salad with Fried Mozzarella, Leonardo’s famous Chicken Abruzzi and Bananas Foster.

While learning how to bring fine dining into your home, you’ll also be supporting the TimesKiwanis Camp Fund. Since 1955 the Camp Fund has raised almost $2 million to send thousands of Trenton children to summer camp who would not otherwise have been able to afford this important life experience.
