Attention all creatives! Have you ever wanted to explore the wonderful world of watercolors, but weren’t sure where to begin? Artworks has you covered with their latest course, “Watercolor: Techniques and Exploration.”

Throughout the months of September and October, Artworks will be hosting a hands-on watercolor course, led by artist Tess Fields. Sessions will be held on Sept. 18th, Sept. 25th, Oct. 9th, and Oct. 16th. This class is currently only offering ten slots, so you will want to enroll as soon as possible. If you’d like to read more and register for the upcoming course, please visit the Artworks website here: Education – Artworks. Admission is $25 per participant. Please note that it is required that all participants register and pay at least one day prior to the start of class. While in attendance, guests may either use their own supplies, the supplies provided, or any combination of the two. All sessions will be held at the Artworks headquarters, located at 19 Everett Alley, Trenton, NJ 08611.

Any skill level is welcome to participate, so whether you are just getting started or already know your way around a paintbrush, all are invited to be part of the fun. This is a supportive and inclusive class that seeks to give budding artists a comprehensive overview of the watercolor process. Classes will begin with a demonstration of various techniques, equipment, composition, and color theory. Once students have a better understanding of the technical side of watercolors, it’s time to get creative! Participants will have the opportunity to create their own still life, use their own photos, and pursue their own artistic ideas. Along the way, the instructor will be available to help each student reach their individual goals. An enthralling journey from start to finish, students will walk away with both a masterpiece and a mind full of new knowledge.

This course is presented by Artworks, a beloved spot for creation and community in the Capital City.
