A New Year has arrived, and with it, has come the arrival of a new beginning and a fresh start. For individuals and families of the Returning Citizens community, a clean slate can be a life-changing resource, offering powerful pathways for a brighter future ahead. And if you are a resident or neighbor of the Capital City, then the tools to get ahead are right here at your fingertips. The Father Center’s Expungement Clinic & Career Event will be kicking off before you know it, so stay tuned to find out how you can be a part of seizing the fresh start in the new year ahead.

On Thursday, January 16th, Returning Citizens are invited to take part in Trenton’s upcoming Expungement Clinic and Career Fair. This free and informative event will take place from 10am to 1pm on the 5th floor of 1 W. State St., Trenton, NJ 08608. Throughout the afternoon, participating individuals will have the opportunity to speak with local attorneys to provide information and discuss possible avenues forward. All attending guests are asked to bring a copy of their resume with them. The afternoon’s events are ideal for Returning Citizens who, upon release, have experienced difficulties accessing housing, employment, or other important resources. By the conclusion of the afternoon, guests should feel empowered and prepared to take the next step on their personal journeys.

While this event is completely free to attend, there is limited seating and advanced registration is required. Spots at the upcoming event will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. If you or a loved one are interested in attending, please contact Brian Wingate, Career Coach, at 609-255-3673 or bwingate@thefathercenter.org, or Randall Toby, Program Manager for Community Outreach and Training, at rtoby@thefathercenter.org to enroll. This life-changing resource is made available thanks to The Father Center. This event is co-sponsored by Mercer County, County Executive Dan Benson, and Board of County Commissioners, in partnership with The Glory Firm.
