For those who hail from the world of non-profits and startups, finding the funding needed to get projects off the ground isn’t something to be taken for granted. While there are plenty of brilliant ideas to go around, for those looking to bring their visions to life, grant funding is often the pathway through which ideas are made reality. At a time when funding offerings are more competitive than ever, crafting a stand-out proposal and identifying the right opportunities for your organization can make all the difference in achieving your goals. If you’re a grant-seeker looking to perfect the art of the proposal, you’ll want to tune into the New Jersey State Library’s upcoming webinar, “Introduction to Finding Grants”.
On Tuesday, November 19th, the NJ State Library (NJSL) will be hosting “Introduction to Finding Grants”, a one-stop information session for grant-seekers in the Garden State. Whether you work for a non-profit or are striving to get your own organization off the ground, this webinar is suitable for anyone looking to improve outcomes in securing funding. This virtual discussion will take place at 12pm on Zoom, and guests do not need to be physically present at the New Jersey State Library in order to participate. Advanced registration for the event is required, so if you plan on tuning in, please complete the following registration form prior to signing on: Zoom – Register.
By the conclusion of this conversation, guests should walk away with a greater understanding of how to access grant resources, as well as the elements needed for a stand-out proposal. Throughout the afternoon, a number of key topics will be discussed, including:
- Who funds nonprofits and what are their motivations.
- What do funders really want to know about the organizations they are interested in funding.
- How do you identify potential funders and make the first approach.
Following the presentation, ample time will be given to ask any follow up questions that you may have. As a thank you to participants, all those who tune into the live webinar will be granted log-in credentials to use the Foundation Directory database remotely for 48 hours following the presentation. The New Jersey State Library’s Foundation Directory offers grant-seekers a one-stop shop for finding and securing opportunities.
