Attention all gentlemen – your presence is requested for an incredible event happening right here in Trenton!
To celebrate the 100th day of school, Foundation Academies will be hosting their annual 100 Man Welcome. But they can’t pull off this epic event without your help! Foundation Academies is currently seeking 100 positive men from our community to greet students as they make their way into school. Whether you are a father, a leader, a serviceman, or anything in between, by just being there, you will undoubtedly be a source of encouragement and inspiration to the students. If you want to show up for our city’s youth and let them know you’re invested in their future, this is wonderful opportunity to show your support.
If you’re interested in participating, you can get started by enrolling here: 100 Man Welcome – Registration. The rally for the intermediate school will begin at 7:00am at 363 West State Street, Trenton NJ. Likewise, the 100 Man Welcome at the collegiate academy will begin at 7:00am at 22 Grand Street in Trenton, NJ. Please note that this is a socially-distanced, no-contact event. In order to participate, masks must be worn at all times in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines. Details regarding parking and arrival instructions are available on the registration linked above.
The 100 Man Welcome is a beloved tradition of the Foundation Academies community. Each year, dozens of positive role models gather to celebrate the 100th day of school. More than just a milestone, the presence of these men lets our youth know they matter and their community is cheering them on every step of the way. Last year, students were met with exuberant celebrations, balloons, banners, and more as a bit of encouragement for the final stretch of the school year. This year is shaping up to be just as memorable, so don’t miss the opportunity to be a part of something extraordinary!
This event is hosted by Foundation Academies, one of Trenton’s foremost charter schools. Foundation Academies prepares students kindergarten through 12th grade with the education they need to prosper in today’s society. What started 15 years ago as a small middle school in a borrowed building has quickly transformed to an educational movement. Per their mission statement, “we were founded with the vision of a world where every child, irrespective of race, gender, or socioeconomic background, has access to a high-quality public education—and we work relentlessly to live up to this promise.” If you wish to be a part of this vision, the 100 Man Welcome is a fantastic place to begin!
