Purchasing a house for the first time is nothing short of a milestone. A place to call your own is a wonderful thing, and Isles is here with all the tools you need to make the process as simple as possible.
Interested participants are invited to attend a first-time homebuyers’ workshop on November 5th, 2022. Registration is $50 for individuals and $75 for couples. The workshop will take place from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm at 33 Tucker St. in Trenton, NJ. Registration includes workshop materials, coffee and tea, snacks, and lunch. Participants who complete the workshop will also receive a Home Buyer Education Certificate. Isles is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency, and the certificates issued through this program will count towards homebuyer education requirements for lenders, financial assistance programs, etc.
Soon-to-be-homebuyers will walk away from this event empowered with the knowledge and tools they need to successfully navigate the purchase process. Throughout the full-day session, attendees will learn critical information including:
- What are the financial reasons to buy a home?
- How much mortgage can I afford? Will I qualify?
- What role does a realtor play? A lender? An inspector?
Participants will also be able to learn more about available financial assistance, including municipal, county, state, and lender-based programs. From finding the right property to financing options, attendees will walk out of this workshop ready to take the next steps in homeownership.
