Celebrations are a sweet part of life. From sacred holidays to birthdays, major milestones, and more, to celebrate is to honor the important moments which define our lives. Now that the holiday season has officially arrived, you can count on the Capital City to keep the calendar jam-packed with celebrations all over town. And for our city’s youngest residents, they are certainly no exception! To help ring in this festive time of year, the New Jersey State Museum invites you to December’s Small Explorers for a captivating commemoration of celebrations all over the globe.
On Saturday, December 14th, the Capital City’s youngest learners are invited to the New Jersey State Museum for their next installment of the Small Explorers initiative, “Celebrations”. The day’s festivities will offer multiple sessions, including a 9:30am timeslot as well as at 11am, at the New Jersey State Museum, located at 205 W State St, Trenton, NJ 08608. As guests make their way up to the museum’s Discovery Den, they will be met with music, food, nutrition information, activities, and crafts. This illuminating morning demonstrates how cultures celebrate all over the world, offering an interactive and hands-on way for young learners to grow into the next generation of global citizens.
While the Small Explorers program is free to attend, space is limited and advanced registration is required. For those interested in attending, please be sure to register as soon as possible by completing the following form: Register – Small Explorers. The Small Explorers initiative, a collaborative effort between the PNC Grow Up Great program and the New Jersey State Museum, aims to foster a sense of community among Trenton area families. This play group provides an opportunity for families to come together, connect, and create unforgettable moments of learning. Designed with the museum’s youngest visitors in mind, the program offers engaging programming tailored for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
As little ones embark on a captivating journey through the museum, parents are encouraged to engage in conversations, share resources, and build a supportive network with fellow community members. Each month, the program delves into an educational and captivating topic, covering a wide range of diverse subject areas such as science, nature, art, music, and more.
