On Wednesday, February 7th, the New Jersey State Library invites you to be a part of their latest webinar, “Language of Flowers”. This conversation will take place virtually from 12pm to 1pm. This webinar, part of the New Jersey State Library’s ongoing series of educational lectures, is free to attend. In the Victorian Era, it became common practice to assign to utilize flowers to send coded messages to a suitor or friend. By the conclusion of the conversation, guests should have a deeper understanding of the history, symbolism, and sentiments surrounding the flowers that we hold dear.
Your expert for the afternoon, Layce Gebhard, comes to the table with years of experience in the grand world of gardening. After 38 years in the corporate world, Ms. Gebhard pursued the Rutgers Master Gardening Program, which wound up being the perfect fit. Since then, she’s shared her love of gardening with countless New Jerseyans. Ms. Gebhard is an active member of the Presentation Team, the New Class Team, and co-leads the Sensory Garden Team. Ms. Gebhard is also the proud co-owner of a small choose and cut Christmas tree farm, which she runs alongside her husband.
