Now back and better than ever for the 2024-2025 season, the New Jersey State Museum’s Small Explorers program is once again underway, and your family is invited to join in on the fun. On Saturday, September 14th, little ones are welcome to dive into the Small Explorers September Splash. The day’s festivities will take place from 9:30am to 1:00pm on the lawn of the New Jersey State Museum, located at 205 W State St, Trenton, NJ 08608. For parents planning on driving in, free parking is available on weekends in lots adjacent to the Museum and on the street in front of the Museum. The morning’s planned activities, which includes food and fun, will be the perfect beginning to another exciting year of learning and adventure. This event is completely free to attend, and advanced registration for this installment is not required.
The Small Explorers initiative, supported by the PNC Grow Up Great program, is a play group for Trenton area families to come together, connect, and enjoy magical moments of learning at the New Jersey State Museum. This program was designed with the museum’s littlest visitors in mind, with programming geared towards children ages 6 months to 5 years. As little ones are led on a fascinating journey throughout the museum, parents are encouraged to chat, share resources and tips, and build a system of support with fellow residents of our community. Each month will cover an educational and engaging topic. Past sessions has centered a number of diverse subject areas, including science, nature, art, music, and more.
