ABOUT THE OLD BARRACKS MUSEUM: Built in 1758, the Old Barracks was a British military barracks during the French and Indian War. During the Revolutionary War, the building bore witness to the Battles of Trenton and later served as an army hospital. During the 20th century, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Colonial Dames led the fundraising campaign to purchase the building. Today, the Old Barracks Museum is a symbol of New Jersey and attracts visitors from all over the world.
