This year marks the seventh-annual Pork Roll-Eating Championship, presented by Case’s Pork Roll. 

At the 2021 event, Joey Chestnut ate 45 Case’s Pork Roll Sandwiches in 10 minutes for the win. Nick Wehry finished second with 41, while Brazil’s Ricardo Corbucci took the bronze with 36. Chestnut holds the world record in the discipline for eating 61.5 Case’s Pork Roll Sandwiches in 10 minutes in 2019.

“The nation’s greatest eaters are headed to Trenton in pursuit of pork roll glory,” said George Shea, chairman of Major League Eating “We anticipate a new world record as these elite athletes go head-to-head.”

Eaters competing include #2-ranked Geoffrey Esper of Oxford, MA; #4-ranked Nick Wehry of Tampa, FL; #11-ranked Patrick Bertoletti of Chicago, IL; #17-ranked George Chiger of Pocono Pines, PA; #27-ranked Badlands Booker of Selden, NY; #31-ranked Crazy Legs Conti of New York, NY, Dr. Rene Rovtar of Basking Ridge, NJ, and more.

River Fest will return to Trenton Thunder Ballpark on Saturday, September 24th from 12-5 PM. The fun-filled and action-packed day will feature a variety of craft beer selections, live music, lawn games, a Case’s Pork Roll culinary extravaganza, and the seventh annual World Famous Case’s Pork Roll Eating Championship at 3:30 PM.

Hawaiian Slice Sandwich (Pork Roll, Pineapple, BBQ Pulled Pork, and Honey Drizzle on a Roll) and The Barn Yard (Pork Roll and Bacon topped Mac N’ Cheese).

Fan-favorite food items making a return to River Fest include the classic Case’s Pork Roll Sandwich with American Cheese and the Swine Sandwich (Pork Roll, American cheese, BBQ Pulled Pork, and Bacon on a Roll).

Sweet or savory breakfast sandwich options are the Sticky Pig (Pork Roll, Egg, and American Cheese on a Donut) and the Oink, Cluck, and Moo (Pork Roll, Egg, and American Cheese on a Roll).
