In response to the shortage of personal protective equipment due to COVID-19, SWITLIK has re-allocated its production line to make face shields for medical professionals. Using supplies that the company procured as well as supplies currently stocked, their face shields are in production. The goal is to supply the shields to as many local hospitals and EMT units as they can, based on the supplies they have.

Here’s a video of the shields being cut:

In times of trouble, we respond. We've started re-purposing our production line to make face shields for our medical professionals. Protecting those who protect us since 1920.

‘Protecting those who protect us’ has been the SWITLIK Survival Products motto for years. In typical settings, SWITLIK makes safety and survival products for the military, search and rescue, marine and aviation markets. But these are not typical times. Their medical professionals and first responders are in need of personal protective equipment in the fight against COVID-19.

The SWITLIK Face Shield has been engineered to be re-used, which is critical to supplying as many medical professionals and first responders as they possibly can. The shield itself can be removed from the headband and both the shield and headband can be sanitized.  Each shield is designed with a one-size-fits-most Velcro, ventilated band and visor that completely covers the face. The face shield is worn over medical masks.

A 100-year-old American manufacturing business, based in Trenton and family established in 1920, SWITLIK has been owned and operated by the Switlik family for four generations and is known worldwide as a manufacturer of the highest quality sewn and heat sealed inflatable safety and survival products for the aviation, marine, and military markets.

Most recently, the company entered the mattress market with a reinvigorated Switlik Sleep Technology powered by Seafoam. The company adapted Comfort Technology to help every citizen sleep a little better. While a portion of Switlik’s combined 90,000 square feet facility on East State is located in Hamilton, the company does have a 28,000 square foot facility in Trenton on Lalor Street.
