The Trenton Downtown Association (TDA) has announced that it has postponed the 2021 Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series in downtown Trenton’s Mill Hill Park until the summer of 2022.

TDA presented the Levitt AMP Trenton Music Series of 10 free concerts in Mill Hill Park from 2017-2019. The series was postponed in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Trenton is one of 20 current cities across the country that received a grant from the Levitt Foundation to bring people of all ages and backgrounds together to enjoy live, free music in their communities. The Levitt Foundation established the grant to support outdoor venues in small to mid-sized cities from coast to coast, making it possible for more people to experience the joy of the performing arts while celebrating the spirit of their communities.

A free concert series the size of Levitt AMP Trenton requires a significant investment in time and resources to be successfully planned, staged and promoted. Since the start of the pandemic, TDA has not only been intensely focused on supporting the businesses of downtown Trenton, but also operating with limited staff and resources. At the time the decision was made to postpone the 2021 series, planning had been delayed due to the considerable uncertainty about the safety of large-scale events.

“We look forward to being together sharing the joy and energy live music brings to our community,” says Meaghan Singletary, Development Manager. “Until then, we deeply appreciate the continued support of the Levitt Foundation, NJM Insurance, and other sponsors and partners who share our love for the arts and passion for our community. While we can’t come together in the park, please take moments for yourself or with friends at the parklets popping up in the downtown and various other locations throughout our city.”
