Trenton Public Schools has appointed Pablo Samuel as the district’s new executive director of technology, effective July 1, 2025.
With more than two decades of experience in education, administration and instructional technology, Samuel brings deep operational and instructional expertise to the role. He most recently served as director of technology and innovation for Leonia Public Schools, where he led districtwide initiatives in systems administration, data security, digital equity and classroom technology integration.
“We are thrilled to welcome Pablo to the Trenton Public Schools leadership team,” Superintendent James Earle said. “His forward-thinking approach and expertise in both technology and instruction will help us build a stronger, more connected learning environment for all students.”
Samuel has held several leadership roles across New Jersey. He served as a school principal with the Union County Educational Services Commission and at Collier High School, where he focused on supporting diverse learners and expanding access to instructional technology. He also served as director of curriculum and instruction at Collier High School, was a vice principal and earlier taught math, science and technology.
Across his career, Samuel has launched STEM programs, implemented remote and hybrid learning systems, managed standardized assessment platforms, and led districtwide technology training and support. He is known for developing strategic plans that align technology with student achievement and for securing grants that expand access to digital tools and resources.
Samuel holds a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Monmouth University and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and middle school science from Kean University. He also holds a New Jersey school administrator certificate.
