For this end-of-season show, the squad’s junior coaches will be taking the reins, working together with their team of young artists to bring the magic of the circus to life.

The Trenton Circus Squad is a free program designed to get youth ages 6-18 interested in the circus arts. By participating in the squad, students are able to stay mentally and physically active, connect with members of the community, and accomplish feats that they never thought possible. And through anecdotes alongside research, the evidence is clear: participation in this program is a life-changing pursuit.

An independent study conducted by the American Youth Circus Organization (AYCO) confirms that participation in the circus arts can have tremendous developmental outcomes for participating youths. Per their research, the circus arts are an evidence-based catalyst for social-emotional learning, development of self-confidence, and a strong source of personal reliance and discipline. In addition to personal development, participation in the circus arts can also promote personal expression and meaningful connections with other participating students.
