Trenton Health Team is teaming up with the Trenton Daylight/Twilight High School to host the first annual “Trenton United” student soccer tournament raising funds for Class of 2019 activities such as class trips, graduation flowers and recognition for students on track to graduate in June.
The tournament will provide students the opportunity to be active for the day while raising money to support senior class traditions–and serve as a model for school fund-raisers that promote health and wellness as an alternative to selling unhealthy, high-calorie food such as doughnuts and cupcakes.
Time: 8 a.m. — 2 p.m.
Date: Saturday, April 6, 2019 (rain date Saturday April 13)
Place: Capital City Sports Complex, 1800 Rev S Howard Woodson Jr Way, Trenton
The first annual “Trenton United” tournament is sponsored by Trinity Health, St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton Health Team, Capital Health, The BUILD Health Challenge, JJ Markey Electrical Inc., American Heart Association, Thin Crust Pizza, Pamela Kelly, and Micah Freeman.
The event is also supported by the Philadelphia Union professional soccer team, which donated merchandise.
