Beginning this Saturday, September 14th, Visionary Philanthropy Group will be kicking off its latest installment of BreakBeatCode sessions. BreakBeatCode is an innovative technology education tool which empowers youth to develop problem-solving abilities by creating music, learning key coding concepts, beat production, and the exploration of technology. All sessions will be held on Saturday from 4pm to 5:30pm at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, located at 140 N. Warren Street, Trenton, NJ 08608. The program is 6 weeks in total, with sessions taking place on the following dates:
- September 14th and 28th
- October 5th and 19th
- November 2nd and 9th
The curriculum for this particular programming has been designed for young men and women between the ages of 9 to 12 years old. This program is free to attend, however please do be aware that advanced registration will be required in order to enroll.
The ideal participant for this program will have an interest in music, has a passion for technology, and consider themselves to be a creative person. Through the power of collaboration, connection, and community with fellow participants, this program offers a unique pathway for students to learn these vital skills. At the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to publish their very own music track. By the conclusion of the sessions, students should have an understanding of the basics of coding, music theory, and lay the foundation for a potential future career in music production or engineer. All students who complete the program will be eligible to win a free trip to Google Headquarters in New York City.
