An opportunity to enjoy classic holiday tunes while supporting Trenton’s next generation of artists and performers? Sounds like music to our ears!

Capital Harmony Works has announced that their 2022 Winter Concert will be coming to Trenton on Thursday, December 15th. The event will begin at 5:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 801 West State St., Trenton, NJ. Tickets are free of charge. This is a family-friendly event that loved ones young and old are certain to enjoy. Come celebrate the season as some of our city’s talented young performers sing and play the night away.

The first group featured is the Trenton Children’s Chorus (TCC), which is widely regarded as one of the finest children’s choirs in the country. Since 1989, the TCC has been offering choral and music education to youth throughout the greater Trenton region. As a collective, the TCC boasts a 100% graduation and college attendance rate for its alumni. Through participation, children are taught valuable life lessons that help to promote their academic and social development. The Trenton Children’s Chorus fosters a sense of community amongst its participants, laying the groundwork for a future of success and happiness along the way.

Guests of this festive celebration will also get to enjoy the musical stylings of the Trenton Music Makers (TMM). Trenton Music Makers is a children’s orchestra featuring students from 1st grade through 12th grade. Each week, the TMM’s young performers meet Monday through Friday to work on their violin, viola, cello, and bass skills. Through their training, performers will learn critical skills including composition, improvisation, developing reading, music production, and more. Aside from valuable technical skills, students are also taught valuable personal development lessons including leadership, collaboration, and perseverance. Orchestra members receive instruments each year to play, practice and refine their skills. Much like the Trenton Children’s Chorus, the community and life skills received via participation provide an invaluable resource to students now and in the years to come.

As a collective, Capital Harmony Works (CHW) represents both the Trenton Children’s Chorus as well as the Trenton Music Makers. In February 2022, these two powerhouse groups joined forces to advance their shared mission for Trenton’s youth. The high-quality music education and abundance of resources made available to its students continue to improve lives every day. As Capital Harmony Works’ music education transforms the lives of its young performers, the city can take great pride as we look forward to the incredible things this next generation of Trentonians will do.
