Attention all mamas to be! When getting ready to welcome a new bundle of joy, there is much to prepare for before your little one is here in your arms. From diapers to onesies to bottles and more, babies no doubt come with quite a checklist. If you’re feeling overwhelmed before welcoming your baby, you aren’t alone, and a helping hand is waiting for you just around the corner. If you’re a pregnant person or recent mom from the Trenton community in need of an extra hand during this special season of life, Capital Health is here to help with their upcoming Community Baby Shower.

On Saturday, April 27th, Capital Health will host a Community Baby Shower for pregnant mothers, as well as moms who have given birth in the last three months. The event will be held from 11am to 2pm at Thomas Edison State University’s Kelsey Building, located at 111 W. State Street, Trenton, NJ 08608. Moms, as well as their support person, are welcome to come out and enjoy a number of resources, including:

  • Lunch
  • Raffles
  • Giveaways
  • Food from Capital Health’s Mobile Food Pantry with Arm in Arm
  • Blood pressure screenings

And much more! Guests will also have the opportunity to peruse information tables, including staff from Capital Health Maternity Services (Labor and Delivery, Childbirth and Parenting Education and Lactation) and Pediatric Services, as well as multiple Trenton community-based organizations. If you are interested in attending, please be sure to register in advance on SignUpGenius, linked here: Register – Community Baby Shower. While this event is completely free to attend, spaces are limited, so be sure to enroll before the event fills up! If you are in need of services and speak a language other than English, you will have an opportunity to indicate such on the registration form. This enriching event is available to the community courtesy of the generous support from the Capital Health Foundation.
