Easter is on its way, and everyone’s favorite bunny is hopping to the Capital City. So if you’re on the hunt for a festive way to ring in the holiday, the City of Trenton is here with the return of one of the city’s most beloved traditions.
Every-bunny get excited, because the Great Egg Hunt is back! This fun-filled event will be held on Saturday, April 8th, from 11-2 pm at Cadwalader Park, 36 Parkside, Trenton, NJ 08618. You and your family can enjoy various activities, including live music, Easter Bunny meet and greets, an egg hunt, prizes, a petting zoo, and more. The egg hunt will kick off at 11:30 am, and you will not want to miss this epic expedition. Three thousand eggs will be hidden throughout the hills of Cadwalader Park, so there is sure to be an opportunity for every hunter to get their hands on one of these extraordinary eggs. Children must be accompanied by an adult and 12 years or younger to participate.
Before the day’s main events, excitement will be abuzz throughout town. Kicking off at 9 am, the Easter Bunny will begin his venture to the enthusiasm at Cadwalader Park. After boarding a fire truck at the Trenton Fire Headquarters on Perry St., the bunny and his crew will visit Martin Luther King Blvd., Hamilton Ave., Hillvista Blvd., and more before reaching his final destination at the Great Egg Hunt. So if you and your family are looking forward to getting a visit from this well-renowned rabbit, take a peek out your window Saturday morning, and you might catch him!
The Great Egg Hunt is celebrating its 102nd year in 2023. This festive event has brought springtime merriment to generations of Trentonians for decades.
