The end of summer is always a bittersweet time. While some are already looking ahead to fall’s cozy, crisp days, many of us are still clinging to those last few weeks of warm nights and sunny skies. If you’re on the hunt for a way to celebrate the final days of the summer season, all are invited to the City of Trenton’s End of Summer Celebration.
Guests are invited to participate in the city’s End of Summer Celebration, a free and family-friendly event that promises fun for all ages. The festivities will be held from 12 pm to 3 pm at the iconic Cadwalader Park, 36 Parkside, Trenton, NJ 08618. Celebrations will be held at the park’s blacktop area near the Ellarslie Mansion. Throughout the afternoon, guests will have a whole host of exciting activities to choose from like face painting, a petting zoo, water slides, a color run, and many more surprises. Guests will also have the opportunity to dine on some delicious food while enjoying an afternoon in the sun with neighbors and friends.
This event is hosted by Trenton’s Department of Recreation, Natural Resources, and Culture. Although the summertime may close, the Department of Recreation stays busy all year round with engaging activities for Trenton residents. From block parties to basketball teams and so much more, this department is in the business of enriching and engaging community fun. In addition to these activities, this department maintains the community’s many parks, recreation centers, and pools, keeping the excitement going in every corner of the Capital City.
