The local library is truly one of a community’s greatest assets. From keeping technology and an internet connection accessible to offering thousands of works of literature to patrons young and old, the library is a powerful center for education and connection. Per Pew Research Center, over 56% of Americans over the age of 16 have utilized a library card to access a number of services like books, audiobooks, genealogical records, and more. This same research identified that one of the major reasons patrons utilize their local libraries is due to access to technology. The American Library Association notes that libraries are indispensable in meeting the community’s needs in a number of important areas including digital literacy, employment opportunities, technology access, and more. By empowering our community to best take advantage of the library’s services, a greater amount of Trentonians can access the skills and resources needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.
The Trenton Public Library has been serving the community for hundreds of years.
