Get excited to clown around for a cause because the Trenton Circus Squad’s 5th annual fundraiser is coming!
On Saturday, March 25th, all are invited to this year’s Trenton Circus Squad fundraiser, Get On Down: Ripple Effect. The fundraiser will begin at 7 pm at the TCS headquarters at the Roebling Wire Works Factory (675 South Clinton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08611). Admission is $10 for children 12 and under and $20 for adult attendees. All proceeds from this event will help to keep Trenton Circus Squad tuition-free for its members.
The theme for this year’s fundraiser is “Ripple Effect,” reflecting the impact circus arts have had on the lives of the program’s participants. Guests can look forward to an immersive and engaging evening of storytelling via the eye-catching and extraordinary practice of the circus arts. In addition, you’ll have a chance to enjoy the perspectives of current squad members, former alums, and other Trenton Circus Squad community members regarding what this organization has meant to them. The Trenton Circus Squad has been transforming the lives of youth since its founding, and now is your chance to support this vital work.
In addition to serving as a fun and unique outlet, participating in the circus arts can profoundly impact youth’s social, physical, and emotional development. Per an independent study commissioned by the American Youth Circus Council, there is demonstrable evidence that program participation is an effective catalyst for growth. Students can foster self-discipline, personal expression, teamwork, and more through their participation. Participating youth are also allowed to form relationships with their peers and engage in meaningful social-emotional learning. This program is of particular value to at-risk youth by offering opportunities for enrichment and connection. As many program participants reside in underserved communities, the program has been made accessible to all members. Trenton Circus Squad offers youth an accessible avenue to learn new schools, meet like-minded peers, and explore the vast world of circus artistry. The performances presented by the Squad are a breathtaking experience for performers and audiences alike. Kids of all ages have had life-changing opportunities with the SSquad, and there is no doubt that the Trenton Circus Squad will remain a valuable asset for our community’s youth. As the team prepares for their upcoming Big Top Tour, this fundraiser will help to assure members have all the tools they need to put on a show this summer.
