Greater Trenton’s Capital City Economic Outlook (CEO) Webinar is just days way. On April 22, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., the event will feature a discussion on the Economic Recovery Act (ERA) and will offer a Trenton-specific perspective on this landmark legislation.

Governor Phil Murphy signed the New Jersey Economic Recovery Act of 2020 into law to provide economic support for businesses of all sizes and industries, while propelling NJ’s economic recovery and growth for much of this decade. The Act creates a package of tax incentive, financing, and grant programs that will address the ongoing economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and build a stronger, fairer New Jersey economy.

“This bill incorporates smart growth principles and encourages growth in areas where growth can, and should occur, with added incentives in areas like Trenton that need the most assistance,” said Greater Trenton CEO George Sowa, who will discuss specific development opportunities in Trenton on April 22.

Attendees will learn about the groundwork and visioning happening in Trenton, discuss specific opportunities and the best ways to capitalize on them as well as the necessary steps to ensure that these and future projects are successful.

The webinar will feature Greater Trenton CEO George Sowa; City of Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora; NJEDA CEO Tim Sullivan; City of Trenton Economic Development Director Benjamin Delisle, Greater Trenton Vice President Bryan Evans; NJM Insurance Group Vice President of Public Affairs Mike Van Wagner; Bristol Myers Squibb Global Lead for OLA (Organization for Latino Achievement) Leticia Ferri, and Trenton Corrugated President Ian Bernstein.

Greater Trenton’s Journalism and Communications Scholarship Award will be presented to a Trenton High School Student, who will work during the summer as a writer for TrentonDaily. The 2021 Caren Franzini Capital City Award Celebration Save-the-Date will also be announced.

Trenton Corrugated Products serves as this year’s Gold Sponsor along with Silver Sponsor Northfield Bank and Bronze Sponsor U.S. Bank.
