On Monday, May 11th at 2 p.m., Mayor W. Reed Gusciora will officiate the reopening of the ‘bricked’ intersection of Warren and West State Street that has been in repair for the last seven years.
The intersection, dubbed “crater central,” has created havoc for residents and commuters who have had to navigate the deep holes in the roadway caused by misplaced bricks. The recent lows in traffic allowed the City’s Public Works Department to expedite efforts during the Governor’s Stay-At-Home Order to reconstruct the intersection. The construction took three weeks to complete.
