Prior to the catastrophic COVID-19 pandemic, a successful premier of the film “Finding Ourselves” took place at the local Passage Theater in Trenton, NJ. Joseph A. Halsey, Founder of the James R. Halsey Foundation of the Arts, announced that his students will now be streamed live on Facebook. “We were so pleased that our students were able to proudly present to their friends and family and share the hard work that they accomplished throughout the year while learning about filmmaking through the James R. Halsey ‘Let’s Film’ arts education program,” said Halsey.
“Our initial plan for the outreach of the film was to schedule more in person screenings and give the students an opportunity to experience a true filmmaker’s journey while attending screenings through question and answers, gatherings and meeting different audiences,” added Halsey. “Due to the pandemic, this plan was changed dramatically. In order to give the students their due recognition on their hard work in producing, writing and directing this film, the James R. Halsey Foundation of the Arts is now hosting exclusive online film watch parties of “Finding Ourselves” on Facebook. This will give our students the opportunity for their film to be seen by everyone.”
Please join Halsey in supporting his student filmmakers. They will screen the film at these times on the official JRH Page here:
