The CURE Insurance Arena recently announced that Los Tigres del Noche would perform in Trenton on April 14th, 2023. The show will begin at 8:00 pm at 81 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08611. Tickets will be available to the general public starting at 10 am on Friday, January 27th. Tickets are available online here: Ticketmaster – CURE Insurance Arena. Los Tigres del Noches has been bringing its music to audiences all across the globe for nearly 40 years. Referred to as “the most influential regional Mexican group” by Billboard, the band has made a reputation as a leading Latin music artist. Los Tigres del Noches has won several Grammys and has sold millions of albums worldwide. To this day, their new releases continue to top the charts and captivate audiences, young and old. In addition, the band has been highlighted for its massive success in documentaries, television, and more.
The group’s name came about when the band of brothers was on a venture to the California border. Led by their oldest brother, Jorge, 14 young men went to the United States, hoping to settle and create a better life for their families. During their encounter with an immigration officer, he referred to the boys as “little tigers.” The boys were headed north during this encounter, and thus, the name Los Tigres del Noche (the tigers of the north) was born! The young men eventually settled in San Jose, which is still their base today, and it was here that their success would take off. Art Walker noticed their music, and the band was quickly the first band signed to his label. It was here that the band found their signature sound, and their ascent to the top began.
In addition to their impressive musicianship, Los Tigres del Noches are also some of the most prolific storytellers in their genre. Los Tigres del Noches are inspired by the “corrido” concept, a story or song “celebrating the enduring pursuit of truth, justice and opportunity, whether by heroes or ordinary folk.” Much of their work highlights the lived experiences of those seeking a better life for their families, as well as the challenges faced by the working class. The band seamlessly blends traditional musical stylings with profound stories of social injustices and other current events. This unique approach to musicianship allows Los Tigres del Noches to produce something timeless.
