New to the vicinity of Trenton, Majust Deli, is nestled within the Downtown area of the city. Located on 9 N. Willow Avenue, the restaurant recently held its grand opening on June 4, 2019.
Located within one of the busiest areas in the city, Majust Deli is structured to satisfy the needs of all customers, offering dine in, take out, delivery, and catering options. A Colombian restaurant, Majust Deli has an inclusive menu, also serving Mexican and American food at affordable prices. Owner and operator, Christopher Costilla attributes the inspiration for the restaurant to his wife’s Colombian homecooked meals.
Costilla, recalls always having been amazed by his wife’s delicious cooking, feeling a great sense of Colombian authenticity in every flavorful bite. He would constantly remind his wife that her cooking was restaurant quality, and would jokingly encourage her to open her own eatery. Soon after, the couple noticed an available space on N. Willow Avenue and turned their dream of owing a restaurant into a reality.
Carrying the skills of Costilla’s wife’s family in Colombia who used to own a business, the couple opened Majust Deli in hopes to spread traditional Colombian authenticity throughout the community and city of Trenton. Remaining true to the Colombian culture, some of the house specialties include Bandeja Paisa (paisa platter), Mar y Tierra (Grilled flank steak and shrimp) and Arepa Rellena (stuffed corn cake).
From hamburgers to rice and fried plantains, Majust Deli has it all. Its hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday through Sunday.
