Most Mercer County government offices and facilities, including all branches of the Mercer County Library System, will be closed Monday, July 5, in observance of Independence Day, which falls on Sunday this year. County government offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 6.
The following County facilities will remain open: Trenton-Mercer Airport (except administrative offices), Correction Center, Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Services Communications Center.
Holiday hours for Mercer County Park Commission facilities are as follows: Mercer County Park Marina and Spray Park, July 4 and 5, noon to 6 p.m.; Tennis Center, July 4 and 5, 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.; County golf courses, July 4 and 5, 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Mercer County Stables, July 4, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed July 5. The Wildlife Center will accept patients by appointment only from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the holiday weekend. The Outdoor Education Environment will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Howell Living History Farm, Tulpehaking Nature Center and Park Commission administrative offices will be closed.
