He shoots, he scores! With the NBA season just a few weeks away and fall sports officially back in session, everyone is ready and eager to get back onto the paint. If you want to improve your basketball skills this autumn, you won’t miss the City of Trenton’s upcoming basketball clinics.

If you want to improve your game this fall, the City of Trenton has you covered with the fall 2023 basketball clinic. Open to all ages and skill levels, these events will allow you to get onto the court and be active with like-minded community members. In addition to free skills clinics, the City of Trenton will also offer open gyms for youth and adult players. The co-ed clinics are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday on the following dates: October 8th, 9th, 22nd, and 29th, and November 4th-11th. All skills clinics will be held at the West Ward Recreation Center, 351 Prospect St, Trenton, NJ 08618. Meanwhile, open gyms will be held at the West Ward Recreation Center and the Samuel Naples Recreation Center at 611 Chestnut Ave, Trenton, NJ 08611.

Skills clinics and open gyms are available at the following times:

  • SKILLS CLINICS
    • Grades 4th-6th: 1:15 pm-2:30 pm
    • Grades 7th-12th: 2:45 pm-4:00 pm
  • OPEN GYMS (both locations)
    • Kids under 17: 1:00 pm-4 pm
    • Adults 18+:
      • Saturdays: 4:00 pm-8:00 pm
      • Sundays: 4:00 pm-6:00 pm

While all are invited to participate in these basketball clinics, the events will benefit youth looking to learn or perfect the game. Whether you’re just getting started or have been playing the game for years, there’s nothing better than perfecting your game alongside some friends and neighbors.
