With a new season comes new opportunities, offering a wonderful opportunity to pursue new goals and acquire new skills. If you’re looking to become a strengthen your leadership skills and step into your most impactful self, the Smith Family Foundation’s Community Empowerment Workshops are the perfect way to begin this journey. The Smith Family Foundation recently announced that registration for their Fall Community Empowerment Workshops will be opening early next week on Tuesday, August 1st. These courses are a wonderful opportunity to connect with other grassroots advocates and get inspired to make a difference right in your community. The Smith Family Foundation hosts Community Empowerment Workshops twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Since the founding of the workshops in 2018, the Smith Family Foundation has helped over 25 non-profit leaders and organizations develop the skills they need to help bring meaningful improvements to the Capital City community.
Over the course of the Community Empowerment Workshops, registered students will have the opportunity to attend a total of six classes, each designed to inspired, challenge, and empower students to achieve their organization’s mission. With each and every cohort that passes through these workshops, there is another group of individuals ready and empowered to create the change they wish to see in the Trenton. By engaging with the leaders who are already committed to seeing the revival of our city, these workshops can best leverage available resources to help make this community a better place to live, work, and play. Previous cohorts have included a number of impactful community organizations, including Empowerment House, Children’s Futures, and dozens of other incredible advocates putting in the work each and every day.
Courses are offered by the Smith Family Foundation, a local non-profit devoted to the empowerment and prosperity of the City of Trenton. Through meaningful philanthropy, community education, and urban ministry, the Smith Family Foundation works tirelessly to meet the complex and diverse needs of the city’s population.
