Exciting things are happening at 81 Hamilton Avenue in Trenton, New Jersey. Spectra and the company that provides venue management, partnerships, and food service & hospitality for the CURE Insurance Arena, in conjunction with the Mercer County Improvement Authority and Mercer County, completed major upgrades to the arena in preparation for the venue’s busy 2018-2019 event season.
The 10,000-seat multi-purpose arena was upgraded with a refinished concourse floor and new paint throughout, a brand new full-color digital LED marquee, improved food and beverage offerings, a complete website redesign and more.
“We have worked diligently alongside the Spectra team to make major upgrades to the CURE Insurance Arena.” said Mercer County Improvement Authority’s Executive Director Phillip Miller. “I believe the improvement plan that Spectra has put in place will make our arena one of the finest in the state.”
Beginning last fall, to coincide with the naming rights change to CURE Insurance Arena, the venue refinished the main concourse with new flooring and painting throughout to give the arena a brand-new, brighter appearance for patrons. Keeping the overall guest experience in mind, CURE Insurance Arena also partnered with AYC Media to completely redesign and launch a new website on August 1. The new user friendly website (CUREInsuranceArena.com) provides fans and guests with access to announcements, news, and exclusive information on all CURE Insurance Arena events.
The latest major addition to the arena features a 10’ x 21’ DAKTRONICS Full Color LED Marquee which displays important County announcements as well as all upcoming event information for the venue. The marquee, which was completed and made live on September 24, is installed outside the arena on the corner of Hamilton Avenue and Route 129.
“We are looking to be progressive and continuously look to improve this great facility and the customer experience.” said Spectra’s Fran Rodowicz, General Manager, CURE Insurance Arena. “Now that these projects have been completed we can set our eyes on a few other major projects that are in the pipeline to improve aesthetics, generate revenues and reduce operating costs.”
After bringing in local favorite Chickie’s and Pete’s last year, CURE Insurance Arena is also discussing concepts with other local restaurants to expand food and beverage offerings at the venue in order to improve the overall guest experience.
The next phase of ongoing upgrades include an all new LED Lighting system that is planned for 2019. This is all part of Spectra’s continued commitment to ensure that CURE Insurance Arena remains the premiere entertainment venue in Central Jersey.
The 2018-2019 Event Season at CURE Insurance Arena kicks off October 14 with Garden Bros. Circus followed by Sesame Street Live, Monster Jam, Newsboys United Tour, East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals, Disney on Ice, Harlem Globetrotters, Jeff Dunham and more exciting events to be announced.
