There are a number of charity events and meal programs going on in Trenton this week. 

The Second Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal will be held at Unity Square Park today, Saturday, November 20th. The program, which will run from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., is sponsored by Tonettea Bleu, Moms Demand Action- Mercer County, and Peterson’s Breaking News of Trenton. There will be a free Thanksgiving Meal Prep and Turkey program on Saturday, November 20th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Greater Mt. Zion Ame Church at 42 Pennington Ave. For more information, Info@gmztame.org.  

The Trenton Area Soup Kitchen will host a drive-thru food distribution to provide roughly 100,000 lbs. of groceries to about 1,300 households from greater Mercer County.  The event begins at 10:00 a.m, today, Saturday, November 20th. and food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Food Pantry at Carol Ware Outreach Ministry will be open to patrons from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday.  This pantry is open every third Saturday of the month. Just in time for the holidays.  

Then on Tuesday, the Trenton Southward Nieghboorhodd Association and The Clegg Family are hosting their South Trenton Turkey Dinner Giveaway from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 212 Centre Street, Trenton. To receive a basket, text “FAMILY” at 609-433-5884.
