On Saturday night when you look along the Delaware River at the Trenton Makes bridge, do not be surprised as it lights up green at 7:30 p.m. tonight. This event is being organized by NAMI Mercer (National Association of Mental Illness Mercer County Chapter).

The bridge will be going green in order to help raise awareness in honor of mental health and mental wellness. This will also be done in order to celebrate the passage of Stigma Free resolutions by all respective Mercer County Town Councils including Trenton which was passed on March 7th. This event will also feature the Mayors (or selected representatives) from almost every municipality in Mercer County who will gather to recite the Stigma Free pledge.

Those wishing to support this initiative can attend the ceremony being held on the Pennsylvania Side of the bridge on the “beach” which is just before Moreau Avenue (this is where the sign is best seen).

Supporters can also attend the NAMI Mercer Walk on the following Sunday May 5th at ETS in Princeton. For more information on the walk visit
