We are well through the month of October, and that means that Halloween is just around the corner. If you’re looking to have a ghoulish good time this fall, stay tuned to find out more about an epic annual tradition happening right in the Capital City.

On Thursday, October 26th, the Trenton Police Department will be hosting their 9th annual Trunk or Treat. This event invites families from throughout the city to come together, get dressed up in their costume of choice, and enjoy some treats courtesy of the TPD. This year’s event will be hosted from 6pm to 9pm at the Trenton Police Department headquarters, located at 225 N Clinton Ave, Trenton, NJ 08609.

This is a rain or shine event, so the fun will continue in the event of any weather. In addition to some car-to-car trick or treating, guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy a DJ, family fun activities, and more. This event is completely free to attend, so all you will need to bring is yourself and a bag to collect your treats!

A beloved event for Trentonians young and old, the Trenton Police Department’s Trunk or Treat offers families a safe, family-friendly alternative to traditional trick or treating. During a Trunk or Treat, the back end of cars are transformed into dazzling Halloween displays, featuring ghosts, ghouls, and plenty of other spooky surprises. Gaining popularity in the 1990s and beyond, Trunk or Treat events have become a staple in communities all throughout the United States. No matter how you choose to spend your Halloween, Trunk or Treating is a great option for families looking to maximize the memories this season.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more prior to the festivities, please contact the Trenton Police Department’s Community Affairs division at 609-989-3918 or email tveal@trentonpolice.net for additional details.
