Mercer County Community College is working with First Book, Trenton Public Schools, Upward Bound, New Jersey Youth Corps, and The African American Chamber of Commerce to bring 15,000 new quality books to Mercer County this month.

First Book is a nonprofit social enterprise that provides new, high-quality books and resources to any school or program that works with children in need. Together with its partners in the publishing industry, First Books is committed to helping educators and community leaders rebuild their libraries.

The organization helps to elevate the quality of literacy programs, enrich the learning experience for children in need, enable teachers to create new curricula, and impart a love of reading to children.
