In civilizations all over the world, masks have played an important role in the social and cultural lives of various societies. From sacred religious rituals to displays of dance, artistry, and more, these distinguished disguises hold great significance to the cultures which hold them dear. When we put on a mask, we have the opportunity to shed our usual identities and embody the essence of something beyond ourselves. And if this talk of masks has you in the making mood, you will not want to miss out on the Trenton City Museum’s latest upcoming workshop.
