When we put on a mask, we have the opportunity to shed our usual identities and embody the essence of something beyond ourselves. And if this talk of masks has you in the making mood, you will not want to miss out on the Trenton City Museum’s latest upcoming workshop.
On Saturday, February 24th, you are invited to join the Trenton City Museum for their annual African Mask-Making Family Workshop. This hands-on event is age appropriate for kids and parents alike, and the whole family is welcome to join in on the fun. The workshop will take place from 10am to 1pm at the Trenton City Museum, located at 299 Parkside Ave., Trenton, NJ 08606. For those planning on driving to the event, there is a number of free and accessible parking spots available for guests directly adjacent to the museum. This Black History Month celebration has become a beloved tradition at the Trenton City Museum, offering families a hands-on way to celebrate this momentous month.

All necessary materials to create your own mask will be provided on-site. There will also be light snacks provided to keep you fueled for this morning of fun. This session will be led by an in-house artist, who will walk you through the ins and outs of the creative process.
