Brain injuries are an issue which afflicts thousands of Americans each year. In fact, the CDC reports that over 2.8 million Americans sustain traumatic brain injuries in the United States every year. While it’s not a topic we often discuss in our day to day lives, chances are you or someone you love will encounter this reality at some point in their lifetime. Although it’s easy to overlook our brain health, this organ is the command center for the rest of our body’s dozens of functions. While no one anticipates being afflicted with a brain injury, by equipping yourself with the right resources, strategies, and facts, you can be prepared in any scenario.
