Pride Month is officially here, and the time to celebrate is now. Throughout the country, communities will be hosting parades, festivals, and more to honor and uplift the proud members of the LBGTQIA+ community. The Capital City is certainly no exception, and all month long, we will be celebrating the rich diversity and lived experiences that shape the community we call home. So if you want to join in on the fun and are looking for a night out on the town, join Artworks for this year’s Pride Night.

On Saturday, June 24th, join Artworks Trenton for a Pride Night full of fabulous fun. The event will kick off at 7:00 pm at the Artworks campus at 19 Everett Alley, Trenton, NJ 08611. The event will feature several jaw-dropping performances from local talent, including Jenny Henny, Stay Dead, and Penny Praline. In addition to these stellar performers, guests will also have the opportunity to explore Artworks’ pop-up pride exhibition in their main gallery. Space is limited, so if you plan on attending, be sure to secure your tickets as soon as possible here: Tickets – Pride Night. Admission is $20 per person. If, for any reason, you cannot purchase tickets in advance, as long as space is available, tickets may also be available at the door.

This event’s proceeds will support two great causes: Art All Night and Lambda Legal. Art All Night is one of the Capital City’s most beloved events, inviting visitors from near and far to participate in a 24-hour celebration of arts, culture, and community. Art All Night is a fun and free event that features the artwork of artists ranging from novices to professionals, film, performance artists, activities for youth, and so much more. This completely free event is donor-funded, and with your contributions, you can help keep this iconic event up and running for years to come.

The other organization you will be supporting through your attendance is Lambda Legal, a non-profit devoted to advancing the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities and people living with HIV/AIDS through impact litigation, societal education, and public policy work. Since its founding in 1973, Lambda Legal has been at the forefront of the fight for civil rights for the LBGTQIA+ community and has played an integral role in the legal battle for equality. If you’d like to read more about the incredible work of Lambda Legal, you can visit their website here: Home – Lambda Legal.

Artworks, one of Trenton’s premier arts institutions, hosts this event. Paintings help make the art world accessible to Trentonians from all walks of life, regardless of age, orientation, or background. Through community events and educational opportunities, Artworks invites individuals of all skill levels to get creative and embrace their inner artists. You can learn more about Artworks’ history and upcoming events by visiting their website here: Home – Artworks.
