With the winter season well underway, now is the time to make sure that you and your family are protected from COVID-19. Thankfully, the Henry J. Austin Health Center is here to help!
The Henry J. Austin Health Center recently announced that they will be extending the evening and weekend hours of their COVID-19 vaccine clinic. Monday through Friday, the clinic will offer evening hours from 5-7pm. On the weekends, the vaccine clinic will be open from 8am-5pm. Walk-ins are welcome, but it is noted that scheduled appointments are preferred. If you’d like to make an appointment for you or a loved one, registration is available online here: Register – HJAHC. Information is available in both English and Spanish. By scheduling your vaccine or booster, you can assure that you’re up-to-date on your vaccines and are better-protected against COVID-19.
Research has shown that receiving the COVID-19 vaccine can help to prevent hospitalization and death. When communities protect themselves against COVID-19, disease is less likely to spread and hospitals in the region can better serve the needs of patients without fears of overcrowding. Per New Jersey guidelines, anyone 6 months or older is eligible to receive the vaccine. Everyone ages 5 and older is also eligible to receive the updated bivalent booster.
There are no out-of-pocket costs for anyone receiving the vaccine. Per NJ’s guidelines, COVID-19 vaccines will be made available to individuals regardless of insurance coverage status. Individuals won’t pay coinsurance, deductibles, or copayments. Providers that administer vaccinations to patients without health insurance or whose insurance does not provide coverage of vaccination administration fees may not charge enrollees directly for any vaccine administration costs. The vaccine offers an easy, no-cost way to help protect your family as well as your community.
In addition to COVID-19 vaccinations, the Henry J. Austin Health Center also provides a variety of other services to keep you and your family healthy and thriving. The Center provides high-quality care to individuals in our community regardless of their insurance status. HJACH takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach to more appropriately meet the needs of the community they serve. Some of the many services the center provides include adult health care, behavioral health services, dental care, pharmacy services, and more. Curated services are also available for women, children, and families. True to their values, the Center has been providing care for over twenty years, and they continue to remain one of the premier healthcare providers in our community.
If you have not yet received your updated vaccine, please be sure to schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience.
