September is Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month, meaning it’s time to celebrate in the Capital City!

You and your family are invited to join the Boys & Girls Club of Mercer County for their 2nd annual Hispanic-Latino Heritage Month Celebration. This block party-style event will feature a fun calendar, including live performances, children’s activities, food, giveaways, and more. The festivities will be held at the BGC Center in Trenton at 212 Centre Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. Plenty of free parking will be available across the street at Sacred Heart Parish, located at 1 Centre Street, Trenton, NJ 08611. This family-friendly and free event will be held on September 30th from 12 pm to 4 pm. Please note that the festivities are rain or shine. The featured performer for this year’s celebration is the KY3 Show Band, serving up musical selections including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata, and more. Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy performances from several regional dance troupes, including BGC Explosives, Chambersburg Dance, and Recordando Mi Tierra. Delicious dining will also be on-site, with food offerings from Taco the Town Kitchen Food Trucks and the Tiktok-famous Lunchboxxx Food Truck. Children’s activities include face painting, a moon bounce, sports, games, art and STEM projects, and more. Giveaways will consist of children’s bikes as well as BGC gear.

The Boys and Girls Club of Mercer County is a tremendous resource for youth ages 5-18 in Trenton and beyond. BGC connects youth with transformative resources, including after-school programs, teen groups, sports, STEM education, and more. Serving more than 2,600 children each year, the BGC of Mercer County remains devoted to serving the children most in need of these services. Programs offered after school, on weekends, and over the summer focus on improving youth outcomes in education, developing social-emotional competency and leadership skills, and teaching youth to create healthy lifestyles through physical activity and nutrition.
